Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why do you use Shutterfly for all your printing and shipping?

A. They are one of the best in the business, have very reasonable prices and many people are familiar  with their services since they already use them for personal printing.

Q. When I choose larger prints, sometimes the cropping is not what I would like. Why is that?

A. This comes about as a fact that the cameras that I use typically shoot in a 4X6 aspect ratio. A 5X7, or 8X10 are slightly different proportions so the cropping occurs. A 12X18 or a 20X30 maintains the same aspect ratio and usually retains the entire picture as shown. I can always modify a picture for you and in most cases maintain the total picture so please contact me and I will be glad to do so.

Q. If I need a specific type of picture will you take some for me and is there a large cost involved?

A. In most cases, I will be glad to get a specific type of picture for you. There may be some additional charges involved if I have to travel to obtain the picture but I will be glad to answer that more specifically if you email me your request.

Q. What are your prices for family portraits and weddings?

A. That can vary greatly as each family or couple have different ideas of how many pictures and how many different scenes will be taken. In the case of family portraits, I typically find that the total package runs about $300 for sitting fees and prints, but again, please feel free to contact me with your specific requests and I will be glad to give you a free quote.

In the case of wedding photography, the cost can vary depending on the type of wedding, number of people in wedding party, inclusion of rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, engagement photos, gifts for bridal party and of course the location and possible travel costs but starts around $500. Contact me with your specific requests and I will be glad to quote you.
